What’s next for Sky for All?

We look forward to bringing to life the Sky for All Starter Kit this Summer! Across March and April, the Sky for All team is hosting a series of exploratory sessions to integrate community feedback to inform the development of a future Research & Development Roadmap. From our sessions to date, we have collected the following:

• 118 Barriers
• 88 Use Case Missions
• 95 Sub-Capabilities

The NASA Sky for All team received 32 feedback inputs from 16 different users, all of which have been integrated into the Skyfor All web portal!

Notable Changes:

• Use Case Success Scenario Capability references (example shown in Ascend Above and Beyond)
• New Use Case: Aerial Imagery
• Substantial updates to Sub Capabilities (e.g. In-Time System-Wide Safety Assurance)
• Modified four of six Principle & Aspiration Descriptions
• Check out our new home page graphic representing how the Sky for All elements piece together!

There was an approval for different Communities, but those changes were not mature enough to roll into the February release

What’s next for Sky for All?

We look forward to sharing a Sky for All Starter Kit with you this Summer 2022! The Starter Kit will integrate community input (like yours) to inform the development of a future Research & Development Roadmap. The Starter Kit will allocate our co-developed Barriers, Research Questions, Contributing Capabilities, and Operational Objectives into five-year timeframes. This research timeline will serve as a guide as government and industry, together, strive to achieve the Sky for All Vision. Exciting stuff!
